The health and biomedicine ecosystem in Catalonia is maturing and there are more and more companies that have experienced the whole business cycle through to success. The Study on investment in the Biomedical industry compiled by CataloniaBio & HealthTech and EY shows that 32 licensing agreements were signed in 2017 and 7% of biopharma and 19% of medtech companies have products on the market.
At various points in the lifecycle of a company, entrepreneurs ask themselves the following questions: What model best suits my company? Should I out-license? Sell the company? Or market the product in different markets? The answer to these questions conditions the whole strategy. What are the key factors for success in each model? We’ll find out from those who have lived it at the next Lessons Learned session on 4 July at the Barcelona Science Park, with experts sharing their knowledge and points of view in a dynamic, participative debate.
