Hartmann presented its latest advances in negative-pressure wound therapy (NPWT), a procedure that speeds healing of wounds. The system this CataloniaBio & HealthTech member offers, called Vivano, promotes healing, reduces oedemas and improves local circulation. One of its main advantages is in patient wellbeing and it also saves up to 50% on hospitalisation costs by preventing complications and side effects. It cuts the average curing time from 42 to 21 days.
Mercè Piazuelo, Traumatology care coordinator at Hospital Clinic Barcelona affirmed, “Patients rate NPWT very highly because it allows them to go home sooner.”
