CATALONIA.HEALTH is the organisation that represents companies in the biomedicine and health sector in Catalonia.

Works to deploy a strategic plan based on:

• Fostering the health ecosystem.
• Promoting competitiveness through innovation.
• Being the sector's voice, with a medium and long term vision.

Created in 2006 on the initiative of several entrepreneurs in the sector, CATALONIA.HEALTH is made up of more than 240 leading companies and knowledge agents in R+D+I, industrialisation and management in the health sector. Its purpose is to contribute to the competitiveness of companies that promote new healthcare solutions through the exchange of knowledge and experience, fostering competition and cooperation among its members, and anticipating future opportunities to generate new business models.

One of the strengths of the organisation is that it reflects the transversality of the sector and allows the creation of synergies between start-ups and companies that develop products (biopharmaceutical, medical technologies and digital health), service companies (scientific and non-scientific), investors, research centres and hospitals.

Accredited as a cluster by the Catalunya Clústers programme (ACCIÓ) and as Agrupación Empresarial Innovadora by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, CATALONIA.HEALTH is part of the Alliance of Spanish Health and Biosciences Clusters (ACESABIO), the European Health Connected Alliance (ECHAlliance) and the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP).
