The Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), British Chamber of Commerce in Spain and consultancy firm Grant Thornton are hosting Life Sciences Forum: The road from innovation to patients on 19 March in the auditorium at Bellvitge University Hospital. With collaboration from CataloniaBio & HealthTech, ACCIÓ, Biocat and One Nucleous.

The purpose of the event is to highlight the life sciences industry in Catalonia, foster access to and valorisation of innovation, identify trends and opportunities in developing and providing patient services (beyond-the-pill servification) and, finally, foster collaboration and business opportunities in the United Kingdom.

Welcome by Montse Figuerola, manager of the Southern Metropolitan Area; Alejandro Martínez, president of Grant Thornton; Christopher Dottie, president of the British Chamber of Commerce; Albert Barberà, director general of Research and Innovation in Health for the Government of Catalonia, and Gabriel Capellà, general manager of IDIBELL.

The general secretary of CataloniaBioHT, Melqui Calzado, will moderate the round table The challenges of access and introduction of innovation, in which participate Martin Schuchart, Global Market Access Lead of Almirall; Luis Cordero, Corporate Affairs, Market Access and Health Economics VP of AstraZeneca; Raquel García Gordón, Global Government Affairs, Market Access and Pricing Director of Esteve, and Guillermo de Juan, director of Institutional Relations and Market Access of GSK.
