Additive manufacturing is destined to revolutionise how products are made. In the biomedical arena, and specifically surgical practices, 3D printing makes it possible to personalise treatments in terms of surgical trial models, guidelines and implants for reconstructions and bioactive implants to regenerate tissue.
CIM UPC is organising an event called Surgical 3D printing, on 1 March at its facilities in Barcelona. The session will share best practices from hospitals, technology centres and companies that are applying this technology in their processes. The session is part of the QuirofAM project (RIS3CAT Community for Additive Manufacturing “Llavor 3D”).
