Kiversal, a CataloniaBio & HealthTech member, has been awarded a €182,000 grant from the 2017 Neotec programme to develop a smart system for medical devices in order to automate audiometric testing.

The company, created in 2016 in Barcelona, is working with CREB at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia on this project based on the IoT (Internet of Things).

“Our first device, Audixi 10, with Internet connectivity, can be used for diagnosis with immediate metrological calibration, is operational non-stop and saves medical centres money on maintenance,” explains founding partner José María Plana. The company expects to launch its first line of smart audiometers to market in September.

Kiversal is one of the eleven companies selected for the MedTeX accelerator that has just been launched at the Barcelona Science Park.
