CataloniaBio & HealthTech presents the Bioèxit Award in recognition of the year's best business milestone in the biomedicine and health sector in Catalonia.

Catalonia is one of the leading European hubs in healthcare research and innovation where there is a consolidated business fabric with a long tradition and a growing entrepreneurial spirit. Currently, the sector has more than 1,200 companies with a turnover of almost €20 billion and employs more than 55,000 people.

The Bioèxit Award is presented at the CataloniaBio & HealthTech Gala, the sector's annual flagship event, which brings together more than 250 entrepreneurs, executives, researchers, political representatives and prominent personalities.

Since 2015, the winners of the Bioèxit Award have been:

• 2016 Bioèxit Award: Minoryx Therapeutics and Palobiofarma
