Intercluster "Nutrition and health: discovering new challenges" - Workshop I

Mental Health Cluster of Catalonia, CataloniaBio & HealthTech (through the Innovation Workgroup) and the Food Nutrition Cluster are hosting the Intercluster event Nutrition and health: discovering new challenges for companies and organisations in the biomedical, nutrition and mental health sectors that are interested in tackling challenges in nutrigenomics, pharmacogenomics and the use of prebiotics and probiotics in healthcare.

This intercluster event is comprised of three workshops that will be held on 24 January, 21 March and 9 May to identify real unmet needs in the sector and generate collaborative opportunities to address them.

Arab Health 2019

The 44th edition of Arab Health will be held from the 28 to the 31 of January 2019 in the Dubai World Trade Centre. This fair is considered one of the best opportunities to connect manufacturers and health service providers with clinicians, procurement professionals, dealers and distributors from the Middle East. 

In total more than 4.000 exhibitors from 68 countries and 85.000 attendees are expected to participate in the four-day event. Presentation of Eureka and Innowwide 2019 programmes

ACCIÓ and the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) are holding a session to present the Eureka (Eurostars) and Innowwide programmes, on 30 January in Barcelona, geared towards companies interested in international R&D&i projects and launching highly innovative new projects. Representatives from the CDTI and the Eureka programme will be present. 

The session will also explain the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) support and technological cooperation services: scouting for international partners and guidance in international markets.

Hard Reg Café of Regulatory Affairs

After the success of the first Hard Reg Café, the CataloniaBio & HealthTech Regulatory Affairs Workgroup is hosting another networking coffee meeting on 4 February at the Barcelona Science Park to continue working on the topics that most interest biopharmaceutical, medical technology and digital health start-ups and companies identified at the last event.

The purpose of this meeting is to open up a participative, constructive dialogue on the best way to tackle:

Constará de una charla formativa a cargo de Toni Miró, CEO de Linking Innovations, con el objetivo de exponer las etapas que van desde la conceptualización hasta el proceso productivo para desarrollar buenos productos en el ámbito de los dispositivos médicos y diágnostico in vitro

CataloniaBio & HealthTech presentarà el nou Grup de Treball (GT) d'Innovació, el dia 7 de febrer al Parc Científic de Barcelona, en una sessió en grup on es volen compartir inquietuds sobre aspectes d'innovació i debatre temes d’interès d'aquest camp estratègic per a les empreses i start-ups tecnològiques i biofarmacèutiques i els hospitals.

Aquest GT està coordinat per Isabel Amat (Reig Jofre), Àngel Alonso (Vecmedical), Ferran Rodríguez (Hospital Clínic) i Eduard Valentí (Esteve), tots membres de la junta directiva, amb el suport de Melqui Calzado (secretaria general).

CataloniaBio & HealthTech celebrarà l'assemblea general el dia 15 de febrer, a les 12 h, a la sala Dolors Aleu del Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB). Durant l'acte, la junta directiva presentarà el pla d'accions de 2019 i els nous socis faran un breu speech com a benvinguda a l'associació. Es finalitzarà l'assemblea amb un cafè-networking.

CataloniaBio & HealthTech té actualment més de 150 empreses i agents col·laboradors com hospitals, centres de recerca i universitats capdavanters en R+D+I a l'àmbit de la biomedicina i  la salut a Catalunya.

2019 Mobile World Congress Brokerage Event

At Barcelona

 on 26 February 2019

ACCIÓ is hosting the Brokerage Event at the 2019 Mobile World Congress, from 26 to 28 February, featuring large corporations searching for new technology and solutions to their ICT challenges. Participants in last year’s event got the chance to meet with the nearly 470 participants from 40 countries, with more than 1,700 meetings held.

The event is free of charge this year.

The deadline to sign up is 12 February.
