CataloniaBio Council is a work breakfast-gathering geared exclusively towards the CEOs, founding partners and boards of directors at member companies. The newest session will feature guest speaker Dr Madhuri (Mani) Roy, who specialises in life sciences patent counselling and prosecution at Cooley LLP (Palo Alto, California), as part of her visit to Barcelona with Alta Life Sciences. 

Cooley LLP is one of the most prestigious US intellectual-property law firms, with a team of 900 lawyers and 12 offices in the United States, China and Europe. Madhuri Roy focuses her practice in developing and implementing comprehensive patent portfolio strategies for biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical companies. She is member of the American Bar Association and South Asian Bar Association.

At this CataloniaBio Council, participants will discuss IP strategy for companies at different stages (technology transfer, early-stage investment, licensing agreements, etc.), as well as discussing IP for venture capital firms and pharmaceutical companies, and other topics that may arise. The goal, as Roy says, is to get your IP house in order.
