After successfully completing the first edition of the BIOMED ScaleUP programme, CataloniaBio & HealthTech is hosting a new CEO Council session on November 10^th on a critical issue for our ecosystem: scaling-up medical technology companies and maximizing  shareholder returns.

The special guest is Amit Jain, Co-founder of Veersa, Inc., a US headquartered health-tech company. He is a seasoned Senior Operating Executive with extensive experience in the Healthcare industry, including US biotech/pharma commercialization and supply chain as well as the technology Industries.

Amit Jain is a professional with track record in creating high growth commercialization organizations, driving operational improvement, corporate restructuring initiatives and strategic execution of businesses ranging from start-ups to large, multi-billion-dollar organizations. Most recently, as the CEO of Southside/AppianRx, a tech enabled, AI focused healthcare solutions company providing technology and distribution services for specialty medications. Prior experience includes being an Executive Officer and Head of Business Operations of Omnicare Inc., a Fortune 500 healthcare services company where Amit was a core member of the team responsible for transforming the organization to deliver accelerated revenue and EBITDA growth which resulted in the strategic sale of the company to CVS Health for $12.5 billion, one of the largest Healthcare deals in 2015.

CEO Councils are small-group talks with members of the boards of directors of start-ups and companies from CataloniaBio & HealthTech, where a prestigious expert or business or political leader is invited to share experiences and strategic perspectives for companies.

These sessions were first held in 2017, when Catalonia already had a consolidated business community and an ever-growing network of entrepreneurs in the life sciences and health.In addition to presenting topics of interest, CEO Councils also help strengthen the relationships of this invaluable group for the ecosystem.
