CataloniaBio & HealthTech is promoting the new corporate programme BIOMED ScaleUP, with collaboration from Lead To Change and support from ACCIÓ (Catalan Government), in order to help encourage solid growth in startups and companies in the healthcare and life sciences sector in Catalonia. BIOMED ScaleUP combines training sessions with personalised mentoring sessions.

The Catalan healthcare industry has evolved very positively since 2010 (business creation, investment attracted, employment, pipeline growth, etc.) but it is important to help it grow in size in order to make it more competitive globally. According to the BioRegion of Catalonia Life Sciences and Healthcare Outlook 2020, 92% of the 1,200 companies in the ecosystem are microSMEs and SMEs.

Any companies interested in taking growth to a new level, whether transversally or in a specific area, are invited to take part in the information session on 21 January at 9 am. The session will explain: 

• The aims
• Who it is for
• The contents: corporate growth training (Phase I) and personalised acceleration (Phase II)
• Length
• Mentors

The session will finish off with a conference entitled Com preparar l'empresa per al creixement (How to prepare your company for growth) by Xavier Marcet, strategy, innovation and corporate entrepreneurship consultant and mentor in the BIOMED ScaleUP programme.

Place: The information session will have a hybrid format, so participants can choose whether to attend online or in person, although spots are limited due to Covid-19 (Barcelona Science Park - Sala Dolors Aleu - C/ Baldiri Reixac, 4-8). 

Participants will have access to the live stream starting 5 minutes before the session begins, through the cataloniabioht.org website (a link will be provided to those registered).
