The CataloniaBio & HealthTech Innovation Workgroup, in collaboration with the Bellvitge University Hospital and the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), is organising the fifth Hospital Connection meeting under the title Medical needs not covered at Bellvitge: Find your opportunity, on 28 June, online.

The purpose of this meeting is to raise awareness about the different needs in one of the leading public hospitals in Catalonia,both related to Covid-19 and other therapeutic areas, and to make it easier to come to joint hospital-business solutions to get them to the patient as quickly as possible. 

Bellvitge is the reference hospital for residents of L’Hospitalet and El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona) and the reference centre for high-tech procedures for over 2 million inhabitants in the Southern Metropolitan Area, Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre region. It has 4,300 professionals and is part of a huge biomedical campus with the University of Barcelona, Catalan Institute of Oncology and IDIBELL. Its strategic priorities include improving user experience, networks, innovation and research.

Welcome by Marta Palicio, third vice-president of CataloniaBio & HealthTech and CIO of Biokit, and Melqui Calzado, general secretary of CataloniaBio & HealthTech.

Presentation of the Bellvitge University Hospital by Montserrat Figuerola, general manager of the centre.
