PROGRAMME

CataloniaBio & HealthTech is promoting the new corporate programme BIOMED ScaleUP, with collaboration from Lead To Change and support from ACCIÓ (Catalan Government), in order to help encourage solid growth in startups and companies in the healthcare and life sciences sector in Catalonia. 

BIOMED ScaleUP consists of:

• Phase I – Corporate growth training: 3 training capsules and a diagnostic session to determine the company’s suitability to participate in Phase II.
  
  
  • Training capsule Scaling up consistency (4 February)
  • Training capsule Scaling up market (11 February)
  • Training capsule Scaling up profitability (18 February)
    
    
• Phase II - Personalised acceleration for 10 selected companies (only CataloniaBio & HealthTech members are eligible): 10 training capsules and 10 mentoring sessions.

The first training session Scaling up consistency: boosting capacity to evolve with clients will be held on 4 February, from 9 to 11 am, online. In an ever-changing world, consistency is as important as one-off success. Consistency is knowing how to both get results from current products or services and also position future products or services, synchronising the company’s current capacity and future opportunities. 

Mentors: Xavier Marcet, a consultant who specialises in corporate entrepreneurship, strategy and innovation, and CEO of LTC; Marc Fernández, who specialises in creating and rolling out business plans and transformation processes for organisations and managing partner of LTC; and Alejandro Santana, LTC innovation consultant.

For:

• Start-ups that are past the early stage and want to scale up their product portfolio, clients and/or funding.
• Small, consolidated companies (under €25M revenue) that want to scale up corporate size transversally.
• Medium, consolidated companies (over €25M revenue) that want to develop a project to scale up growth in one specific area, associated with innovation, processes or market diversification.

Language: Catalan / Spanish

Registration: 

• CataloniaBio & HealthTech members: free. By registering for the Scaling up consistency training capsule, you also get access to the two following capsules, Scaling up market and Scaling up profitability, as well as one individual diagnostic session to determine the company’s suitability to participate in Phase II.
• General: companies that aren’t members of CataloniaBio & HealthTech can take part in Phase I of the programme (€200 + VAT).

To participate in the BIOMED ScaleUP programme, participants must commit to attending at least 75% of the sessions. If not, they will be expelled from the programme and have to cover the costs (€4,000).

Place: the training capsule will take place online. Participants will have access to the live stream starting 5 minutes before the session begins (a link will be provided to those registered).
